Executive summary

Roary is a Director in the Public Sector Strategy & Transformation practice at BDO Canada. In this role, Roary supports his clients by enabling business transformations and successfully planning for and adapting to change, considering the viewpoints of people, processes, and technology. With over a decade in this service area, he has worked on a wide range of projects contributing to his clients’ evolving organizational objectives.

With extensive industry experience, including a major focus on serving federal government departments and agencies, Roary is adept at leading clients through their transformation, from defining and designing to delivering the case for change. He actively works with clients to ensure long-term success and sustainability. His expertise lies in strategy and business planning, operational (e.g., capacity & capability) improvements, organizational reviews and redesign, independent project reviews, project and program management, and change management. As a result, Roary has led large, cross-functional delivery teams in multiple multi-year engagements and has successfully managed numerous large enterprise accounts for the firm. He achieves this by understanding clients’ challenges and industry trends and developing tailored strategies and solutions to meet their needs.

Roary values developing strong relationships inside and outside of the firm. He takes on additional responsibilities in people management, mentorship, talent development, and participation in BDO leadership teams. By fostering a collaborative environment, Roary enables those around him to succeed and cultivates a desire to work with him. He is a dedicated and adaptable professional, utilizing his strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, communication skills, and attention to detail to meet BDO clients needs and add value to their projects. Roary is also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) committed to maintaining high standards and competencies for the profession.
