Executive summary
Dr. Jamal Hejazi serves as the Chief Economist for BDO Canada LLP where he heads up the Firm's Economics Practice. His role includes providing the broad range of economic expertise needed when engaging in issues related, but not limited to, Aboriginal Treaty rights, lobbying matters related to the pharmaceutical industry and transfer pricing. His services also includes the provision of business consulting services, such as the production of business plans and cost benefit analysis.
In addition to his Economics Practice, Dr. Hejazi works closely with the Firm's Tax Group, where he helps organizations optimize their global tax position and reduce exposure to unfavourable audit assessments through proper tax planning and implementation strategies.
He has been involved in work for a number of industries including automotive, pharmaceutical, energy, computer software, gaming, manufacturing and services. He also specializes in intangible valuation and has done work for both the technology and biochemical sectors.
