Cheryl Hugill is a partner in BDO's Cambridge office. She began her career at the Kitchener office in 1983. Her exceptional business, client service, and management abilities led Cheryl to become a partner in 1991. Through her leadership, she successfully spearheaded BDO's leap into the Cambridge market in 2006. Under Cheryl's guidance, BDO has become one of the largest accounting firms in Cambridge.
Cheryl focuses on accounting and advisory services for owner-managed businesses with an emphasis on retail, manufacturing and professional services industries. Her philosophy is to “know you, know your family, and know your business.” This method, combined with BDO's team approach, helps her clients grow and thrive in a competitive business environment.
Cheryl was elected to the Board of BDO Canada LLP in 2018 and was re-elected for a second term in 2021. During her tenure she has served 2 years as Chair of the Financial Oversight Committee and currently sits on the Talent and Culture Committee.
