Executive Summary
Kais has over 20 years of experience in public accounting with over 12 years in international taxation for both private and publicly-owned Canadian and multinational organizations. Kais has been working exclusively in the tax area since 2001.
Kais works with clients in the role of an ‘external tax department’ managing all of their Canadian tax compliance requirements. He advises clients on the strategic development and execution of a transaction from a tax perspective. Kais regularly manages due diligence projects, determining potential tax liabilities and exposure, challenging assumptions about future tax performance and assisting with the tax aspect of purchase agreements, post-closing, and other transaction tax matters. His industry expertise includes manufacturing and transportation and warehousing.
Kais’ past speaking engagements include Federated Press’ International Tax Seminar, the CICA National Tax Conference and numerous BDO regional and national conferences. Kais has written several articles including:

Kais is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, is an active volunteer at CICA tax clinics and sits on the Board for the Mississauga Badminton Federation and LAMP Community Healthcare Centre.
