Executive summary

Harley is a partner in BDO's Cranbrook office and has been in public practice for over 25 years providing assurance and taxation services and successfully helping clients achieve their financial goals. Harley serves a variety of businesses in addition to local government and other community-based organizations. Harley has a special interest in helping businesses understand and minimize income taxes, develop business plans, obtain financing, and most importantly, to maximize profits.

Harley obtained his BSc and BComm degree from the University of Saskatchewan before beginning his career in public accounting in 1991. He articled with a regional firm in Ontario where he received his chartered accountant designation. In 1994 Harley moved to British Columbia and joined BDO. He has lectured on the topics of Starting a New Business, Tax Planning Strategies, Estate Planning, Government Accounting, Understanding Financial Statements, and Audit Methodology.
