Executive summary
As Chief Risk Officer and and a member of the Senior Leadership team, Amy Provvisionato oversees all risk management at BDO and provides strategic advice to senior leaders on a full range of matters. Based out of the Toronto office, she works with the risk and legal teams to develop forward-thinking strategies to protect BDO and modernize risk practices and procedures.
Before joining BDO, Amy spent 15 years at a large professional services firm, providing strategic and practical legal advice on all regulatory issues, including inspections, investigations, examinations and remediation. In addition, she acted as legal liaison for all Canadian and International professional, government and securities regulators. She advised on all legal compliance aspects, including anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, professional standards, confidentiality, independence, and conflicts of interest.
Amy advised CPA Ontario on the legal risk and regulatory issues involved in unifying three accounting regulators and 80,000 accounting professionals in Ontario.
