BDO Partner Paul Gill Appointed to Chair the CICBV

After serving on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV) for five years, and holding the positions of Secretary/Treasurer (2016) and Vice-Chair (2017), BDO’s National Valuations Leader and Partner Paul Gill has been appointed as CICBV’s new chair, effective July 1, 2018.

Paul brings over 15 years of advisory experience, including a leading role in financing, valuations and FP&A functions at Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS). He is the co-lead of our National Private Equity Group and has worked directly with private markets deal teams, risk teams and boards on activities that impacted pricing, financing and other decision-making for multi-million to billion-dollar private equity and infrastructure investments.

As chair of CICBV, Paul will lead the institute’s efforts of remaining the essential instrument for informed business decision-making and for continuing to maintain the authority of chartered business valuators across Canada.
