The Very Good Food Company Inc.
On January 16, 2023, pursuant to an Order of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, BDO Canada Limited was appointed as Receiver and Manager of the assets, undertakings and property of The Very Good Food Company Inc., 1218158 B.C. Ltd., 1218169 B.C. Ltd., The Cultured Nut Inc., The Very Good Butchers Inc., Lloyd-James Marketing Group Inc., and VGFC Holdings LLC (“VGFC Group”).
The Very Good Food Company Inc. is a plant-based food company that produces plant-based burgers, ribs, steaks, sausages, meatballs and non-dairy cheese.
The Receiver conducted a sales process for the assets of VGFC Group. The deadline for submission of a letter of intent was 4:00pm PST on February 10, 2023. The final bid process commenced on February 17, 2023, with no prospective going concern buyer interested as of February 22, 2023.
The Receiver is in the process of seeking auctioneer proposals to liquidate the assets.
