Westcoast Appliance Center 2014 Ltd. and Capital Iron (2022) Ltd.

On February 27, 2026, pursuant to an Order of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, BDO Canada Limited was appointed as Receiver of the assets, undertakings, and property of Westcoast Appliance Center 2014 Ltd. and Capital Iron (2022) Ltd. (the “Companies”).

The Companies operated furniture and appliance retail stores in Victoria, B.C. The Receiver has secured the inventory and is evaluating its options to realize on the inventory. 

On March 13, 2026, on application of the Receiver, the Court pronounced an Order increasing the Receiver’s borrowing powers to $380,000 and compelling Resilient IT to comply with the Receivership Order.

On April 2, 2026, the Receiver made an application to Court to approve, among other things, the auctioning of the Companies’ inventory.

On April 8, 2026, on application of the Receiver, the Court pronounced an Order approving the auctioning of the Companies’ inventory. The auction will begin on April 11, 2026, and will be conducted by Able Auctions.

The Receiver may currently hold inventory owned by third parties. Customers who purchased items that have not yet been delivered or collected are asked to contact the Receiver at the email address below.
