Executive summary
Prior to joining the BDO Tax Controversy team, Kateryna practiced tax litigation at a boutique tax litigation firm in Toronto. Kateryna’s previous legal experience also includes practice in the areas of civil litigation and class actions.
Kateryna obtained her law degree in Ukraine in 2012, and the Canadian law degree equivalent in Ontario in 2018. She was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2019. Between obtaining her two professional degrees Kateryna has also worked in public service and banking.
As an unwavering and lifelong student, enamoured with the pursuit of knowledge and personal growth, Kateryna also has a Master’s degree in International Relations from the oldest university in Eastern Europe, an LL.M. from the University of Toronto, and an LL.M. in Taxation at Osgoode Hall Law School.
Kateryna is passionate about representing clients and advocating for their rights throughout the tax dispute resolution process. Kateryna is equally enthusiastic about the dynamic ever-evolving landscape and multifaceted nature of tax law.
