BDO is proud to announce that Mina Farinacci, CPA, FCPA, Partner at BDO's Montreal office, has been named a Fellow of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (FCPA). A notable milestone in her career, this title recognizes Mina's many contributions both to the profession and her community.
A partner with BDO, Mina currently serves as the eastern leader of the firm's Business Services & Outsourcing service line. She previously served as BDO's Office Managing Partner for Quebec, during which time she was instrumental in expanding BDO's presence in the province, helping to open the office in Laval and expand the Quebec City office.
Mina has a rich legacy of encouraging and supporting women in the accounting profession. Known for her career-focused coffee chats (more than 120 in the last two years) with employees seeking guidance, she also holds monthly mentoring sessions for women. She is a member of BDO's Women Driving Growth team which offers services tailored to the needs of female entrepreneurs. Recently she initiated the BDO Global Women's Leadership group, which aims to support women across BDO's global network.
Her work on behalf of the accounting profession is notable for her role on Canada's Review Engagement Task Force, Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB) She gathered feedback from across Quebec to inform the development of the Canadian Standard for Review Engagements.
Mina is also deeply involved in her community having held leadership or governance roles with many community organizations including: the Royal Canadian Air Force Foundation, Le Fonds Collectif Femmes Action Montreal (FAM), the Association for Corporate Growth Québec, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, and the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
