Executive summary

Adam Brown is the National Leader of BDO's Strategy, Value Creation & Analytics practice across Canada and is a member of BDO's Senior Advisory Leadership Team. He has also served in national leadership roles across the firm for management consulting, key account programs, performance improvement, and as co-lead for the Toronto region market.

Adam leads a highly skilled team of value creation professionals across Canada delivering high impact services across: Strategy, Growth & Profitability, M&A Value Creation (including enhanced diligence and integration / carve out services), and Applied Analytics. Adam is the Lead Relationship Partner on several of BDO's key clients, drawing together collaboration by team members across all of BDO's key service lines—Assurance, Tax, Advisory and Business Services & Outsourcing.

In his client work, Adam specializes in performance improvement and turnaround, growth strategy, margin improvement, cost reduction, operational restructuring, market analysis, and business planning. With respect to M&A transactions, he supports clients with enhanced diligence requirements (commercial, market, operational), as well as synergies, integration planning, execution, and other pre/post transaction value enhancement. Adam takes a practical and hands-on approach to helping clients quickly execute and realize targeted strategies and specific business/EBITDA improvements.

Adam has worked with clients across Canada and globally, having been on assignments in 19 countries across the world. With over 20 years of experience across several industries, Adam has a deep understanding in manufacturing, agri-business, consumer-facing sectors such as retail, consumer packaged goods, restaurants, tourism, and hospitality. He has co-authored several publications on the topics of revenue growth, margin enhancement, cost reduction, and pre-divestiture performance improvement. He advises private company owners, senior management of large corporations, boards, and private equity investors on their most critical and urgent business issues.
