Typography

  • Removed the top padding on all headings

Widgets

    • Added a new icon (a paragraph symbol with a star) that contains a style that will add 34px top padding to any block element such as headings, paragraphs, divs...
      • You may need to clear the browser cache in order to see this

Accessibility

  • Bio cards that show up on the people search page are once again populating the “aria-label” attribute if the “Thumbnail Alt Text” field is empty

Homepage carousel (previous & next buttons)

  • Removed the hover and onclick styling for mobile only

Columns

  • Removed slate as a BG option
  • On mobile, both 2 column options now properly align and the space below the first row has been removed so that the text between rows flow a bit better

Page secondary nav

  • Can now display a custom header on the page itself instead of sitewide. This needs to be done from the “Content” tab.
  • The hard coded top and bottom padding can be adjusted from the “Content” tab. Should you want to change the defaults, it’s best not to add any top or bottom padding to the left column from the “Page” tab and to adjust these values from the “Content” tab.
  • Unpublished pages now show up in previews

Breadcrumbs

  • These now have more room so they should fit in a single line, except for some FR pages with very long names

Global search

  • Logic change: Pages that don’t have a card description now pull the meta description instead of the first few lines of text from the page itself
  • HTML "code" should no longer show up in the cards

Widgets

  • Rich text editor
    • Added a white pull quote but since the text is white you’ll need to edit the source to add the text
  • Quick links
    • We can now see unpublished assets when previewing a page
  • Insight vertical card
    • Removed the minimum heights for mobile only
  • Image
    • The “Force image outside of content” option no longer adds a horizontal scroll bar on mobile
  • Accordions
    • We’ve undone the logic where only 1 item can be open at once. This was causing excessive scrolling when there was too much content in an accordion item.

Navigation changes

Sitewide changes

There have been MANY style changes to the site giving it a more modern feel

  • Page features
    • The spacing between the 2 column options has been adjusted so that regardless of what column width chosen, the spacing between them will be equal
    • A 3 column option has been added and will always be equal widths
  • Slate colour options have been removed
    • Replaced with charcoal
    • We forgot to remove it as a row background option so don’t use it as it will be removed in an upcoming release
  • Rounded corners
    • Many elements will be rounded by default or will have an option to round them
  • Text
    • All fonts have been updated
      • The default font size is now 18px instead of 16px
      • Headings now have a top padding
        • If you want to remove it, add this style in the code: style="margin-top:0;"
          • Ex: <h2 style="margin-top:0;">The title</h2>
  • Buttons
    • 11 new button styles have been added to the rich text editor and some widgets
  • Heros
    • There are no more hero images on mobile
    • The hero image is now optional. If you don’t add a hero image, it will show an animation which can be turned off with the “Hide the banner background animations?” field.
    • Homepage hero
      • No longer has “preview” images
      • No longer has a mobile image
      • Control buttons have been updated
  • Secondary nav (pages / jump links)
    • Both have a new design
    • Page links
      • When enabled, will be displayed in a 2 column layout at the top of the page. It will be automatically added to the right column and cannot be edited directly
      • To change the “widget” title shown on the page, use the “Page Secondary Menu > Link Text” field
        • The heading tag can be selected in the same area
        • Beware that changing this text will change it in other secondary navs as well. We will introduce a fix for this in the next release.
    • Jump links (anchor menu)
      • Works the same but has a new design which allows for longer text
    • Secondary nav logic
      • If both the page and jump link menu are enabled, only the page menu will show on mobile but both will appear on desktop
  • Carousels
    • The indicator bars have been removed (red bars below the cards)
    • Cards in carousels are now centered on the page
    • The are no more cards partially off screen
    • The previous/next arrows no longer overlap the cards
      • On mobile, they move below the cards
    • Many carousels now have options to change the look of the cards
  • Bio cards
    • No longer display the
      • Phone number
      • LinkedIn text
    • Changed the email text to say “Contact” which is a link to their email. As a result, the email address is no longer shown directly on the card
  • Cards in general
    • For certain widgets, the entire card will become a link

Insights

  • No longer have a hero
  • No longer has 2 dates, just the “Updated” date
  • Content tab updates
    • The number of fields has been reduced to remove options never used
    • New fields
      • Hide body content?
        • When checked, the first default column will not be displayed. Doing this on an old page may hide content.
      • At a glance section
        • Replaces the old “Summary” section
        • Added to the top of the page
        • Is meant to be a bullet list of major points/topics found in the insight - similar to a “TL/DR” section

Location page

  • Accordion changed from slate to charcoal

Bio page

  • Removed diagonal background image
