This section defines the skills and experience that strengthen the our Board.
Strategy and business model
Ability to shape and challenge strategy by aligning the business model (and Firm value) with client needs, market trends, competitive positioning, and long-term value creation.
Professional services industry knowledge and partnership model insight
Deep knowledge of the professional services sector, including partnership economics, independence considerations, regulatory expectations, client delivery models, and competitive dynamics across advisory, audit, tax, and other consulting services.
Financial and accounting acumen
Ability to interpret financials, assess economic drivers, and understand implications of strategic choices for investment and risk decisions.
Enterprise risk management (ERM)
Experience with enterprise risk oversight, including risk appetite, emerging risks, and integration with strategy.
Regulatory compliance and legal oversight
Understanding of key legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to professional services firms, with an ability to oversee effective compliance programs, ethical conduct, and responses to regulatory change or scrutiny.
Board governance and decision effectiveness
Board governance experience, including fiduciary duties, decision-making discipline, committee structures, board evaluation, succession planning, and application of governance principles, especially in finance and risk or previous experience on governance committees.
Human capital and talent management
Oversight of talent strategy, leadership development, organizational culture, and succession—including direct admit and partner pathways, leadership transitions, performance management, and workforce sustainability.
Technology, AI, and digital risk oversight
Understanding of digital transformation, AI, and emerging technologies as well as their strategic implications, operational applications, and associated risks (e.g., cybersecurity, data privacy, regulatory, and ethical concerns).
ESG, sustainability, and inclusive leadership
Ability to oversee ESG priorities, including environmental impact, inclusive leadership agendas, ethical governance, social impact, and stakeholder expectations.
Stakeholder engagement and reputation stewardship
Ability to understand and navigate expectations of regulators, clients, partners, and the public—including experience in managing reputation, crisis response, and trust preservation.
Innovation and strategic change
Track record of leading innovation, process improvement, or business model change (including M&A activities) in response to market transitions or transformations.
