Toronto, ON – BDO Canada is pleased to welcome Sandra Pereira to the firm as a Principal, Transaction Tax. Sandra brings over 20 years of international tax experience in both private and public markets to BDO.
Sandra’s practice focuses on cross-border structured transactions, buy-side and sell-side acquisitions, divestitures, and business integration mandates. She primarily works with private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds, fund sponsors, and portfolio companies. Her expertise includes fund formation, sidecars, direct investment, and co-investment vehicles tailored for domestic and foreign pension funds, institutional investors, endowments, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds.
Gifted at synthesizing complex structuring issues and communicating them effectively to key stakeholders, Sandra brings insights on a wide range of issues, such as transforming the tax function, advising on operational tax issues, and optimizing tax benefits from acquisitions.
