Vancouver - BDO Canada is proud to announce that Kristine Simpson, FCPA, FCA, has been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of her outstanding dedication to her community.
Kristine is a Partner in BDO Canada's Assurance practice and the B.C. industry leader of the firm's not-for-profit and education practice and is the first partner at the firm to achieve this award.
The Coronation Medal was created to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III in May 2023, and is the first Canadian medal to mark such an event. It honours individuals who have made significant contributions to Canada and their home provinces and is being awarded to 30,000 deserving Canadians.
Recipients of the medal are nominated by partner organizations designated by the Government of Canada. The honour is presented to those who exemplify important values including community service, environmental stewardship and embracing diversity.
