Ram is a senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Services, technology risk, and transformation. He focuses on the financial services sector and has supported organizations operating in complex and highly regulated environments across Canada, the U.S., and Asia.
He has served as a Chief Audit Executive at a global financial institution and advises boards, Audit Committees, CEOs, CFOs, CAEs, and senior leaders on governance, risk, and controls. Ram specializes in audit transformation, regulatory readiness, board reporting, and AI enablement and governance.
Ram's appointment further strengthens BDO's Risk Advisory Services practice and deepens the firm's ability to support financial institutions navigating an increasingly complex risk and regulatory environment. He will help clients strengthen governance frameworks, modernize assurance functions, advance AI enablement and governance, and respond to evolving regulatory expectations.
