Toronto, ON – BDO Canada is proud to announce that Sonia Edmonds, Managing Partner, Innovation & Change, has been named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winners by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) in the CN Executive Leaders Category. This national recognition celebrates Sonia’s leadership in driving innovation, inclusion, and transformation across BDO Canada.
As Managing Partner of Innovation & Change, Sonia has led a series of enterprise-wide initiatives that have reshaped how the firm works, collaborates, and grows. Her leadership in advancing the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) has positioned BDO as a national model for purposeful, people-centered innovation.
Through these efforts, over 5,000 BDO professionals have been equipped with the tools, confidence, and curiosity to integrate AI into their work, creating a foundation for continuous learning, innovation, and growth.
Beyond innovation, Sonia is a champion of inclusive leadership. She is the Executive Sponsor for the Women’s DE&I pillar and the founder of BDO Canada’s national women’s mentorship program, which has already supported several hundred women in advancing their careers, as well as the co-founder of the firm’s Women Driving Growth program.
The WXN Top 100 Awards Gala will take place on November 27, 2025 in Toronto, celebrating trailblazing women who are making a meaningful impact across Canada.
