Sonia Edmonds, CPA, CGA, is Managing Partner, Innovation & Change at BDO Canada and a member of the firm’s Executive Leadership Team. She leads BDO’s business evolution agenda, helping modernize service delivery, transform internal operations, and build future-ready services and operating models.

With more than 25 years of finance and operations experience and more than 20 years in technology consulting, Sonia has held senior leadership roles across consulting, innovation, transformation, and firm governance. She previously served as National Managing Partner of BDO’s Consulting Service Lines, leading more than 600 professionals across Management Consulting, Risk Advisory Services, and Technology Consulting, and served on BDO Canada’s Firm Board from 2019 to 2022.

Sonia plays a key role in advancing BDO’s human-led, AI-embedded approach to transformation. Her work focuses on responsible innovation, ethical AI adoption, governance, collaboration, and measurable value for BDO’s people and clients.

A champion for inclusive leadership, Sonia serves as Executive Sponsor for BDO’s Women’s DE&I pillar, founded BDO Canada’s national women’s mentorship program, and co-founded Women Driving Growth. She was named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 by the Women’s Executive Network in 2025.
