Nick is a Partner at BDO Canada LLP with over 12 years of experience practicing in his field, having recently transitioned from a larger firm in Calgary where he served in the High Net Worth tax group specializing in Advanced Personal Tax Strategies, Real Estate and Construction, Oil and Gas Service and Professional Services. He is also the Tax Office Service Line Leader for Alberta.

Nick specializes in tax and business advisory projects, including the implementation and maintenance of family trust structures, the purchase and sale of a business, complex corporate reorganizations, post-mortem planning and high net worth family planning.

Nick also specializes in the administration of Canada Revenue Agency dispute resolution, including the organization of the audit process and the execution of audit proposal responses and Notices of Objections under the Income Tax Act.

Nick's knowledge of emerging trends in income tax helps him efficiently identify and resolve complex issues before going down the rabbit hole. In addition to teaching at the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course, Nick recently presented at the Canadian Tax Foundation Annual Conference and is a past Facilitator for the CA School of Business.
