Mike is a Tax Partner in BDO’s St. John’s office. He has extensive experience in providing Canadian domestic tax advice to personal and corporate clients. His primary areas of focus are corporate reorganizations, buy-sell transactions, tax planning and estate planning for owner-manager corporations.Mike has been a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Palliative Care Association since November 2019 and a member of the St. Jacques Island Heritage Corporation since January 2017, serving roles as Board Member and Treasurer for these non-profit and charitable organizations.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative) degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and holds Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant designations in the province of Newfoundland. Mike completed his In-Depth Tax Specialist accreditation with CPA Canada in 2017.
