Executive summary

Michael Madsen is the West Leader of the Business Services & Outsourcing practice and a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Previously, Michael was the Managing Partner for the Greater Vancouver office, where he oversaw and led a team of 36 partners and over 415 team members who deliver audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services to the markets we serve.

His key responsibilities included leading change, working closely with partners and clients, and executing the vision and strategy of the firm. Michael worked toward this goal by ensuring client satisfaction, service excellence, quality in all that we do, and creating an exceptional people experience.

Michael was the firm's International Liaison Partner to the BDO Global organization with representation in over 164 countries worldwide. He was responsible for ensuring BDO is positioned to be the provider of choice for clients operating internationally. In this role, Michael served as the first point of contact for all BDO Global international business matters to ensure the most appropriate client service team is assembled and provided to international engagements.

Mostly recently, Michael acts as the host of a podcast on global expansion called Bored at the Airport.
