With over a decade of professional experience, Melissa has built a reputation as a trusted advisor in the areas of internal audit; enterprise risk management; independent third-party reviews; and governance, risk, and controls assessments. 

Her industry expertise spans not-for-profit organizations and the public sector at federal, provincial and municipal levels.

Melissa is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and holds the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors. She brings extensive knowledge of key reference frameworks, including the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) Internal Control Integrated Framework (2013), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and the Global Internal Audit Standards, as well as the COSO Enterprise Risk Management – Integrating with Strategy and Performance Framework (2017).
