Executive summary
Krista has over 17 years of experience in public accounting, providing assurance, accounting, and advisory services to clients in multiple sectors, specializing in pensions and other employee benefit trust funds and their related union entities.
As BDO Canada's Pension and Benefits Operational Excellence Leader, Krista is involved with developing internal pension and benefits training, resourcing and consulting to other BDO offices across Canada on relevant pension and employee benefit fund issues, including completing technical file reviews for complex issues.
Krista is an active member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and regularly attends and speaks at various IFEBP conferences. In addition, Krista teaches the Advanced Trust Management Standards (ATMS) course offered by the IFEBP.
As a partner in the Assurance group, Krista leads the assurance talent initiative for the Oakville office. She is also part of the national quality assurance review team, which conducts internal inspections of the technical and qualitative aspects of work performed across BDO offices. As a Director on the YMCA Canada National Board, Krista sits on the Executive HR and Technology committees and Chairs the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee.
