Kelly is a Partner in the Ottawa office and National Service lead for Strategy & Operations at BDO Canada. Kelly has more than 20 years of experience providing public and private-sector clients with strategic advice in the areas of planning, organizational effectiveness, benchmarking, performance management, project and portfolio management.
Kelly has diverse industry experience. Kelly has provided strategic advice and market research to clients looking to enter new markets or adapt to market changes. She has provided strategic and business planning services to more than 15 federal departments helping them to design and implement effective investment planning and project management processes based on industry best practices and departmental capability. Kelly excels at building and maintaining relationships. Kelly's strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and people skills as well as her ability to obtain buy-in from senior management and stakeholders from all levels within organizations have contributed to her career success. She has an ability to put clients at ease in one-on-one interviews, focus groups, and workshops.
Kelly is a member of BDO's Not-For-Profit industry team with a focus on Health & Social. Kelly recently co-authored BDO's Canadian Perspectives on Elderly Care, focused on the trends and needs of Canadians over the age of 65. Kelly published an article on Performance Management in the Canadian Executive Magazine. Kelly has presented on the topic of investment planning and portfolio management at the Real Property Institute of Canada and the Strategic Project Management Conference, Conference Board of Canada. She presented on integrated performance management at the Planning & Performance Exchange, and the Financial Management Institute. Kelly also led a number of panel discussions hosted by BDO.
Kelly is involved in the community serving as a past-Board Member of the Old Ottawa South Community Association, a competitive soccer coach with the Ottawa Internationals Soccer Club and a volunteer at Edelweiss Ski Club. She is an advocate for mental health services in the community, raising awareness and financial support.
