Jeff Howald is a Tax Partner in BDO Canada's Kitchener-Waterloo office, with over 20 years of experience in Canadian income tax advisory, planning & compliance. His area of focus is Private Client Services for Canadian-owned private enterprises, their shareholders and their families.
He has advised clients on a variety of complex business transactions, with a deep focus on divestiture planning for the sale or transfer of Canadian-controlled private corporations, corporate reorganizations, intergenerational transfers and trust & estate planning. His experience includes serving clients across a range of industries, including real estate construction & development, technology, manufacturing, and health care.
Jeff has a passionate commitment to tax education, having been involved with the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program in various capacities since 2010 to develop the next generation of tax professionals in Canada. He has been involved in content development as well as tutorial leader at various levels of the program in Canada for many years.
