Executive summary

Heidi Scorgie is a partner in the Assurance practice at BDO Canada and the Capital Markets Firm Technical Leader. She works closely with teams across the company to deliver exceptional service to public companies and public interest entities in the financial services sector.

Prior to joining BDO, Heidi was the Regional VP of Western Canada for the national independent public company auditor regulator. She was responsible for inspections of audit firms and stakeholder engagement with audit committees, directors, and other regulators.

Heidi also worked as an audit partner at a large international professional services firm for more than 15 years where she had extensive experience working with public companies and was the professional practice director in B.C. and Alberta.

She was a former board member for the Children's Heart Network, which works to educate, support, and enhance the lives of children in B.C. with heart disease.
