Barbara is a Partner and CFO Services Leader for our A&A team based in the GTA. Prior to joining BDO, she worked for the last two years leading a financial and operational restructuring turnaround as an Interim CEO at a private manufacturing company. Before that, she spent 10 years providing strategic, financial, and operational services as a part-time CFO to small and medium size business owners, CEOs, and Board of Directors.
In addition, since 2008 she has been a highly rated author and facilitator of numerous Executive Development Programs for CPA Ontario. Working closely with many CFOs and controller's from a variety of sectors, company sizes and industries, Barbara has maintained a part-time learning focus, where she teaches CPAs to develop their leadership abilities, human centric skills, and core values that will differentiate the “accountant of the future.” Adept at identifying and evolving opportunities within the profession, she supports clients to ensure CPAs will play a key role in their future of work and help them adapt to a changing world.
Barbara has a wide range of business expertise earned over the last 30 years in diverse areas such as management consulting, training and education, retail, CPG, private equity, manufacturing, not-for-profit, real estate, as well as successfully leading finance and operations teams in various public and private companies.
