Alisha Kara is an associate in BDO Law LLP's Tax Disputes Resolution group. She assists individuals and corporations in resolving tax matters with the Canada Revenue Agency, including audits, objections, taxpayer relief applications, voluntary disclosures, collections matters, and appeals before the Tax Court of Canada.
Prior to joining BDO Law, Alisha gained experience representing clients in a broad range of tax controversy matters at a boutique tax litigation firm in Toronto. She is committed to delivering practical, strategic solutions while maintaining clear communication and a client-focused approach.
Alisha earned both her Juris Doctor and her Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science, with Honours, through the University of Ottawa’s combined program. During her studies, she was actively involved with the Ottawa Law Review.
Fluent in English and French, she advises and represents clients in both official languages.
