Headquartered in Alberta, W.A. Grain operates as a processor, wholesaler, and trader, selling pulses, cereals, and oilseeds domestically and internationally. The company, founded in 2007, has seven processing facilities in Western Canada, located in:
- Bowden, Alta. (two facilities)
- Bashaw, Alta. (two facilities)
- Vanguard, Sask.
- Pambrun, Sask.
- Ponteix, Sask.
Global Food and Ingredients Inc. acquired the two facilities in Bowden, Alta., West Coast Agro Ltd. acquired the two locations in Bashaw, Alta., and GP Acres Grain (an affiliate of Adroit Overseas) acquired the three facilities in Saskatchewan.
BDO acted as advisor to W.A. Grain, assisting the stakeholders of the business throughout the entire sales process.
