Toronto, ON — Ram Rathod, CPA, CA has joined BDO Canada's Transaction Tax Practice supporting our Private Equity Group as a Partner. Ram has been a trusted advisor to private equity firms and their portfolio clients for over 16 years.
His expertise in domestic and cross-border tax structuring, mergers and acquisitions and post-acquisition integration will add to the firm's ability to navigate today's complex global business environment.
Throughout his career, Ram has led tax strategies on multi-billion-dollar deals and has held senior finance roles, where his leadership contributed to over $150 million in transaction-related value.
In this role, Ram will be a strategic leader to help clients maximize value through innovative structuring, commercially grounded insights and risk-aware compliance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Economics and Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a CPA and CA. He joins BDO Canada on July 14 and will be based in the Toronto office.
