Toronto, ON — Today, BDO Canada, a leading professional services firm, is proud to open its Cybersecurity and Digital Innovation Centre in Toronto to revolutionize how businesses safeguard their digital assets and innovate securely.
The new centre is a Security Operations Centre (SOC) providing around-the-clock network security monitoring and response services to BDO clients, and an innovation hub where clients can trial the latest technologies and learn how to innovate securely through tailored events, 1:1 executive briefings, and experiential workshops. The new centre is the latest addition to the expanding global BDO network of centres—currently operating in eight countries—dedicated to cybersecurity strategy and operations, which have been created to combat increasingly sophisticated cyber threats around the world.
It comes as both the number and cost of cybersecurity incidents worldwide rise while leaders race to digitally transform their businesses. In BDO Global's recent survey, 84% of business leaders said their survival hinges on accelerating technological innovation, though nearly half were not prioritizing proactive cybersecurity measures as part of their digital transformation projects.
