Bruce Beggs is a Partner in BDO’s Financial Advisory practice based in Ottawa, specializing in mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, business restructuring, and business planning.

He advises private company owners, senior management of large corporations, boards, and private equity investors on their most critical and urgent business issues. With over 30 years of experience, Bruce has worked with a number of private and public companies, government and crown corporations performing financial due diligence services as well as expertise in all areas of financial restructuring. Bruce has also been involved in international consulting engagements, corporate finance, viability assessments, monitoring assignments and forensic investigations having worked in Bangkok, Thailand; Mexico City, Mexico; Quito, Ecuador and London, England.

Bruce is a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Practitioner (CIRP) and has led a number of large corporate restructurings including CCAA, receiverships and bankruptcies.

Bruce’s experience within the Federal Government includes working with key departments such as Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (formerly Industry Canada), Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Agriculture Agri-food Canada, Natural Resources Canada as well a number of other crown corporations such as Export Development Canada, Canadian Commercial Corporation and bank of Canada.
