On March 4, 2025, pursuant to an Order of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, BDO Canada Limited was appointed as Receiver of the assets, undertakings, and property of Mahindra Jewellers Ltd., Surrey Gold Jewellers Ltd., 1237647 B.C. Ltd., 1257271 B.C. Ltd., Heera Jewellers Inc., P. Sona Jewellers Inc. and RCJ Jewellers Inc. (the “Companies”).
The Companies sell jewellery at retail locations in Surrey and Abbotsford. The Receiver has secured the inventory and is evaluating its options to realize on the inventory. Any party interested in making an offer to purchase the brand should contact the Receiver.
The Receiver is in possession of certain third-party owned inventory. Individuals who had jewellery in for repair or were purchasing inventory under a layaway arrangement should contact the Receiver.
On March 21, 2025, the Receiver assigned Mahindra Jewellers Ltd., Surrey Gold Jewellers Ltd., and P. Sona Jewellers Inc. into bankruptcy. The First Meeting of Creditors for each entity will occur via Microsoft Team as follows:
- Mahindra Jewellers Ltd. on April 7, 2025 at 9:00am PST.
- Surrey Gold Jewellers on April 7, 2025 at 9:30am PST.
- P. Sona Jewellers on April 7, 2025 at 10:00am PST.
