Executive summary
Janet is Partner, Forensics responsible for BDO's Personal Injury Loss Accounting practice. She is also qualified as an expert witness before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Ontario Licence Appeal Tribunal and at Private Arbitration. Her specific investigative experience over the last more than twenty five years includes OMPP, Bill 164, Bill 59 and Ontario Regulation 34/10 income replacement benefit, economic loss and loss of earning capacity benefit calculations, loss of income analysis for both personal injury and attendant care benefit purposes, assessments of financial dependency in priority disputes, as well as out of province weekly income benefit calculations. Janet's expertise is also reflected in technical and second opinion client reports gleaned through her experience in preparing or reviewing more than 19,000 accident benefit, income loss and financial dependency reports.
Janet oversees BDO's Virtual Office, an online tool for clients to quantify personal financial losses as a result of motor vehicle and other personal injury and commercial loss insurance claims. She also speaks regularly at industry seminars on various personal injury topics and conducts regular training sessions to meet client needs.
