Executive summary

Theresa has over nineteen years' experience in general accounting, audit and tax practice, over sixteen with BDO Canada LLP. Her specialty includes accounting, assurance and tax advice for owner-managed private businesses, not-for-profits, and real estate, hospitality and consumer market sectors. She also has a wealth of expertise on tax and accounting services for non-residents of Canada who own real estate or businesses in Canada.

Prior to working at BDO, Theresa worked in industry for several years. She was involved in many strategic initiatives including determining the size of retail stores for its expansion strategy, store productivity, impact of competition on revenues, advertising, and activity-based costing initiatives. She also has a background on the cross-functional management team involved in key operational decisions related to pricing at both the product and customer levels with new product decisions and cost control in a market where costs fluctuated with commodities and currency exchanges.

Theresa is also a dedicated volunteer throughout Whistler and Squamish. She and her staff volunteer their time at various not-for-profit organizations including the Howe Sound Women's Centre, the Whistler Community Services Society (Re-Use-It Centre) and she is currently serving her 6^th year on the Board of Directors for the Whistler Chamber of Commerce.
