Steve is a Partner in BDO's Montreal office, with over 15 years of professional experience providing tax services to private companies in the manufacturing, real estate, transportation and food & beverage industries. He started his career in corporate law, working amongst the largest legal firms in Montreal for them to specialize in corporate tax, more specifically in tax planning and M&A.
Steve is a member of BDO's Transaction Tax team and he has been advising clients in the context business transfers, both acting on behalf of sellers and purchasers. He has advised clients' internal business transfers, either family transfers or management buy-outs, and is usually called upon to give presentations to business owners/managers on that subject. Namely, he has given presentations for Anges Quebec, the M&A Club, and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
