Executive Summary

Sandy has over 20 years experience providing both corporate and personal tax planning strategies for family-owned business, entrepreneurs and large corporations.

She is a seasoned tax advisor, structuring and advising on tax minimization strategies for corporate transactions and has provided advice on transactions between $12 million and $35 million.

She has also advised companies extensively on corporate reorganizations, estate planning strategies and creditor proofing strategies and has negotiated with CRA to resolve sensitive taxation issues regarding voluntary disclosures on clients’ behaves.

Sandy regularly presents to clients and the business community on tax matters and has written numerous articles which have appeared in 20/20, Enterprise Magazine and The Mississauga Business Times.

She is the past chairperson (1999-2008) of the Mississauga Stakeholders Group for SR&ED, a group that includes tax practitioners, lawyers and SR&ED management at CRA and is currently serving a 3-year appointment with the Toronto West CRA Tax Practitioners liaison group.

Sandy’s memberships include the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO), the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA), the International Fiscal Association and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
