Executive summary

Sandy leads the GTA Toronto West Tax Practice and has been a key member of this dynamic tax team for the past 30 years. She is currently a second term member of CRA Toronto West Tax Practitioners Group and highly respected member of the senior tax group at BDO with extensive industry contacts in the tax profession across Canada. She is also the Tax Office Service Line Leader for Oakville.

Sandy's tax career to date has been in public practice where her industry focus is diverse but includes manufacturing, technology, consumer goods and professional services firms. She has advised clients around the world with Canadian operations that are inbound and outbound focused.

Sandy has advised companies including their shareholders on corporation reorganizations to achieve tax minimization and prides herself on a holistic approach to dealing with taxation issues throughout the private companies life cycle. Sandy prides herself on providing proactive and timely tax advice to clients in the area of taxation. She is also well versed in taxation issues facing private companies that have grown organically or face tax issues during mergers and acquisitions.

Sandy regularly presents to clients in the business community on tax matters and has written numerous articles for local news, 20/20, and Enterprise Magazine. Her passion has always been and continues to be advising clients in the area of taxation.
