Mike Abbott is the Managing Partner, Markets & Industry for BDO Canada, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Mike manages a team of market leaders across the country who leverage marketing, sales, and industry resources to develop go-to-market strategies based on evolving trends. His team connects the firm’s service offerings to new opportunities.
Previously, Mike was BDO's Ottawa Office Managing Partner (OMP) and has more than 25 years of experience providing advisory services to private and public companies and public sector organizations. He has served a wide range of clients, from mid-market owner-managed businesses to more complex, publicly listed entities, through to Crown Corporations and Government of Canada entities.
His industry client experience includes technology, public sector, natural resources, and transportation sectors.
Mike has been very active in many community associations, serving as a board member and volunteering his time to community events. Outside of the office, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and kids, watching sports and participating in sports.
