Executive Summary

Maggie Van Camp is based in BDO’s Guelph office and is the firm’s National Agricultural Practice Development Leader. With over 28 years working in agriculture, including primary production and agricultural publications, Maggie is a respected voice in the industry and trusted by farmers.

In addition to her membership in BDO’s National Agriculture Industry Group and her role as chair of Drive Away Hunger, BDO’s firm-wide social responsibility program that supports foodbanks across Canada, Maggie is CEO of a commercial chicken farm in Blackstock, Ontario. She has been very involved in her farm community through various roles in the church, 4-H and the agricultural society. Additionally, she is a member of the Ontario Soil and Crop Association and of the Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation, sitting on the board of the eastern chapter.

Maggie has been a presenter at seminars and conventions throughout Canada on transition planning and women in agriculture.
