Laura works in BDO's Oakville, Ontario office in the International Tax group. She has 14 years of experience, primarily focused on advising foreign companies doing business in Canada and Canadian companies growing and scaling abroad.

Laura helps organizations optimize their global tax position through proper tax planning and implementation strategies. She is experienced with all inbound and outbound Canadian tax issues including structuring for acquisitive or organic growth in Canada, financing alternatives, tax-efficient cash repatriation techniques, Regulation 102 and Regulation 105 compliance, and tax treaty and MLI interpretation. From her tenure in public practice, Laura has worked with a range of industries including real estate and construction, manufacturing, consumer goods, and wholesale and distribution.

Laura frequently speaks on tax planning and technical updates at various seminars such as the Strafford Continuing Legal Education and CPA Courses, BDO Annual Tax Updates, and the Ontario Ministry of International Trade. Laura is a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants.
