Executive summary
Kent has over 30 years experience as an Assurance Partner providing accounting, auditing and related services to public, private and not-for-profit organizations. He has a variety of experience working with unions, benefit funds, manufacturing, real estate, construction, charities and professional services and associations. Kent has also been involved in a number of large audits of Canadian subsidiaries of multinational corporations with head offices located in the US, UK and Germany.
Kent has been a member of the BDO Board since 2017 and has served as the Chair of the Board since 2020. Kent is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO), the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. He has sat on a number of committees including the ICAO Staff Pension Plan Committee, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario's (FSCO) Audit and Accounting Advisory Committee for Pension Plans and the CICA Employee Future Benefits Implementation Guide Working Group.
Kent is a co-author of a chapter in Employee Benefits Canada and a conference presenter and moderator numerous times for the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans.
