Josiane is the national Crisis Management and Business Continuity leader at BDO Canada.
With twenty years of recognized experience in risk management, emergency management, and business-continuity planning, Josiane directs a team of highly competent professionals.
Formerly President of Multi Risk International (MRI), a leading strategic player in the risk-management field, Josiane has a solid knowledge of organizations and business processes in a wide variety of sectors. Her expertise includes the development of governance policies to support the business-continuity programs implemented for clients.
Josiane has shared her risk-management expertise in a workshop series for the MBA program for managers at L’École des sciences de la gestion, Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She has also given workshops on business-continuity planning for the Risk and Insurance Management Society in Canada (RIMS) and l’Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines du Québec, among others.
She was selected by l’Ordre des comptables professionnels agrées du Québec (CPA) to write a manual on business-continuity planning and to provide web-based training sessions.
Josiane’s practical experience is complemented by a master’s degree in environmental management, with a specialization in risk management.
She is also an ISO 22301 Lead Auditor credentialed by ICOR.
