Executive Summary

Jim received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University in 1995 and earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1999. He has over 15 years of experience providing auditing, accounting and advisory services to privately-held companies and not-for-profit organizations. He works closely with clients to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and is a trusted advisor throughout the year providing support and assistance with any issues or business decisions that arise. Jim also has experience in the area of financing, re-financing and mergers and acquisitions.

His practice includes clients from a variety of industry sectors including retail trade, transportation and food services industry sectors. Further complementing and enhancing his business experience, Jim spent 10 years working in industry as the Controller for a large marine dealership and a large trucking company.

Community Involvement

Jim enjoys being active in the local community. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce in the position of Secretary/Treasurer and has been very involved as a volunteer with the Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce. He is an avid boater and has been active with the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons as Treasurer and Commander (President) at the local level and as Treasurer at the District level in addition to serving on the National Audit Committee. Jim has also volunteered with the Children's Aid Society of Simcoe County and the Community Foundation of Orillia and Area.
