Everett Chubbs is an Information Technology leader with a passion for building, coaching, and leading high-performing teams. His proficiency is directing IT talent and delivering technology value and advantages to the organization through collaboration with business leaders, complementing and incorporating their business knowledge with his team's technical expertise. Everett is passionate about developing his leadership skills and business acumen in conjunction with his technical skills to better align and deliver technology advances to the business.
Everett studied at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Key-In Technical Institute of Newfoundland. He continues his education to stay current with advances in technology and develop his leadership skills, having completed a post-graduate Masters program in Energy Sector Leadership at York-Schulich School of Business.
Everett began his career in software development and has expanded his expertise through twenty-plus years of broad-based technology experience in different business verticals including startups and mature organizations. Recently, Everett was Head of IT at Green Ontario Fund, a forward-thinking startup agency established to combat climate change. Before GreenON he was a technology leader in the energy sector as Director of IT with PowerStream and Oakville Enterprises Corporation, leading technology to support and secure critical infrastructure, as well as grow and build new energy and infrastructure businesses.
Everett enjoys volunteering and has devoted many years to various sports organizations, working with young men and women as a hockey coach, mentoring, serving on Boards of Directors, and passionately promoting girls' hockey. He is an avid motorcyclist in the summer months and enjoys playing pick-up hockey through the winter.
