Executive Summary
David Yuill has been a Partner with BDO's Halifax office since 1995, overseeing its transition from an independent accounting firm to part of the international BDO network. The office provides accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to a variety of small business enterprises.
David continues to expand his professional knowledge and has completed in-depth courses on Canadian GST/HST taxation and the Investment Dealers and Brokers In-Residence Course. He has also been a member of the Professional Standards Review Committee and steering commission for the 2007 SME Advisors National Conference. He regularly presents on accounting and tax issues to regional small business development organizations.
David is a member of the board of directors for CBDC Blue Water. CBDC Blue Water is one of 41 non-profit, independent Community Business Development Corporations (CBDCs) in Atlantic Canada. In partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) they work to support the local economy by assisting entrepreneurs as they build or expand their businesses. David has recently been appointed President of the Nova Scotia Association of CBDCs.
