Executive summary

David is a Vice-President with BDO Canada Limited and manages the Newmarket (and surrounding areas) Financial Recovery Services office and the Peterborough (and surrounding areas) Financial Recovery Services office.

With over 20 years of experience in the insolvency profession, having practiced with the firm in Toronto, North York and Markham before taking charge of the Newmarket and Peterborough offices, David works with individuals that are experiencing financial distress with a view to developing strategies and to finding constructive solutions to address their problems and concerns.

David has extensive experience with small to large business involving a variety of industry sectors and he has acted on behalf of all stakeholders involving such engagements as business viability reviews, bankruptcies, receiverships and restructuring proceedings under The Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.

David was involved in insolvency engagements that included: Trustee and Receiver of Lichtman's News Agency (one of Toronto's oldest book and magazine retail chains) Trustee of One + One Fashions (a national retail store for women) Receiver and Manager of Sniderman Radio Sales and Service Limited (cob Sam the Record Man) Court appointed Receiver for Travel Distribution Resource Group, Inc. (cob Travel Plus)

David is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals.
