Executive summary
Brian has been a senior audit partner for over twelve years, serving private companies in the Calgary market in auditing, accounting, tax and business consulting. His experience includes working with clients in the manufacturing, consumer business, professional services and not-for-profit industries.
Brian was born and raised in Montreal. In 1989 he joined a well respected local firm of chartered accountants where he grew to the level of senior manager. Seeing the opportunities and family life advantages in Alberta, Brian moved to Calgary in late 1997 where he joined a local mid-market firm. Brian became partner in 2001 and grew to become team leader in the private company group. Brian's role was to ensure that his growing list of clients and the clients of other team members received sound advice while recognizing that client objectives and goals came first.
Recognizing the opportunities that a National firm could provide to his type of clients, Brian joined BDO Canada LLP. Since joining BDO Brian's focus has been on mid-size private entities requiring an integrated knowledge of financial accounting and disclosure issues, audit and assurance expertise, corporate, personal and trust tax integration and business best practices consulting.
