Brandon Bignell is a 40 Under 40 (Ottawa) award winner with over 15 years of experience in the private and public sectors. He is the partner for Risk Advisory Services in the National Capital region where he manages a large team in the conduct of risk management, internal audit, program reviews, lessons learned, independent third reviews, evaluation, and control engagements. He is also highly experienced in conducting internal audit quality assurance reviews and evaluation neutral assessments. Brandon also leads BDO’s Public Sector Strategy & Transformation practice which helps governments, agencies, and not-for-profit organizations evolve their operations in today’s digital world to improve services and citizen confidence.

Prior to joining BDO, Brandon worked for the Government of Canada for 10 years in the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, Indigenous Services Canada, and the Canada Post Corporation. It’s that depth of experience working in and with the public sector that enables Brandon to not only help clients identify, assess, and mitigate risks to their organizations, but also thoroughly understand his clients’ unique perspectives and goals while advising them on their complex transformation projects.
